Big screen roles for Showtime stars

This week two Showtime stars revealed new projects they’re working on for the silver screen:
Jonathan Rhys Meyers will take off his Tudors crown briefly to co-star with Julianne Moore in Shelter, a sci-fi horror flick based on a script by Michael Cooney, the guy who wrote the multiple-personality thriller Identity. It starts shooting late next month in Pittsburgh, of all places.
Madeline Zima, who plays Mia on Californication, has signed on for another sexy role. She’s been cast as Selma Blair’s love interest in the black comedy Driving Lessons. Blair plays a high school teacher and Zima is a student with whom she’s having an affair. The film starts production in LA next month. The cast also includes Hope Davis, Dermot Mulroney, Chi McBride and rapper Bow Wow.
