Californication Season 1 DVD debuts in June

March 9, 2008 by Jillian Cohan

Californication-Season-1Californication’s second season isn’t due till late summer, but the first-season DVD will arrive just in time for a marathon refresher course on the dysfunctional world of Hank Moody.

Showtime has set a June 17 release date for the 12-episode package, according to TVShowsOnDVD.

No word yet on bonus features, deleted scenes, etc., but I’ll cast my vote now for these ones:

1) A viewable copy of Hank/Mia’s manuscript, in all its salacious glory.

2) Music videos of Becca’s adorable tween rock band, Kill Jill (Read more about the real-life musicians here.)

3) A background featurette on Suicide Girls, the punk porn group that Dani belongs to and which claims to have members in every corner of America. I was skeptical, I’ll admit, but I looked up my hometown (pop: 700) and found a few guys and gals who are part of the alt-erotica network. Kinky.

What about you, Showtime fans? What bonus features do you want on the DVD?
