Go ask Alice. I think she’ll know.

Seriously, I really really really hope the pilot for the L Word spin-off takes “Go ask Alice,” that awesome Jefferson Airplane lyric from White Rabbit, as its title since Alice will be the star.

When last we saw Leisha Hailey’s L Word character, Alice Piezecki, she had a terrific job as a talk-show host and had just reconciled with Tasha, her newly out soldier girl. But she also had the hots for an Australian clothing designer, planting the seed for lots of drama to come.

L Word creator Ilene Chaiken will have control over the spin-off as well. Here’s hoping the pilot gets picked up for a full run, especially for those of you fans who were bummed by Showtime’s decision to make The L Word’s sixth season its last.
