David Duchovny and Tea Leoni: Splitsville

Californication star David Duchovny, unlike his character on the show, is a swingin’ single. So says People, which today quoted a statement from Duchovny’s wife, Tea Leoni, saying the couple separated months ago. That’s about the time DD went into rehab for sex addiction. He’s all better now, his lawyer said a few weeks ago.
Duchovny and Leoni were spotted together last week at a street festival in NYC, but apparently haven’t been able to patch the holes in their 11-year marriage.
In the statement, the couple, pictured at left in 2005, said they’d “hoped to keep this separation private for the sake of their children.” They have two kids, daughter Madelaine West, 9, and son Kyd, 6.
