The L Word’s Kate French signs on to guest star on Gossip Girl

The L Word’s Kate French has been cast in a guest spot on Gossip Girl, according to OK! magazine.

French returns to The L Word in Season 6 as needy actress Niki Stevens, whose bed-hopping antics at the end of Season 5 sabotaged her relationship with Jenny.

After reaching a crossroads in her relationship with Jenny, Niki will try to maintain ties with her new group of friends in Season 6.

On Gossip Girl, French has been cast as Elle, a nanny with an intriguing past. When she enters the Upper East Siders world, she quickly becomes entangled with Ed Westwick’s Chuck Bass.

She’ll share the Manhattan set with another Showtime alum, Dexter’s Desmond Harrington, who’s also guest starring as Jack Bass, Chuck’s uncle. (For behind the scenes pics of Harrington on the GG set, bounce over to Gossip Girl Report.)

Gossip Girl airs Mondays at 8 p.m. Eastern on The CW.

The L Word’s final season debuts Sunday, Jan. 18, at 9 p.m. Eastern.
