Nurse Jackie’s Peter Facinelli needs Twitter followers to win a bet

Peter Facinelli, the charismatic co-star of Nurse Jackie, is locked in a brutal competition with his buddy Rob Defranco, who bet that Peter couldn’t get 500,000 Twitter followers in a week.

Thanks to a ferocious guerrilla marketing campaign, Facinelli is well on his way. As of this writing, Nurse Jackie’s Dr. Fitch “Coop” Cooper has nearly 212,000 followers. Now it’s your turn. Here are the deets:

• The wager: 500K followers for @peterfacinelli
• The stakes: If he loses, Facinelli has to give up the back of his Twilight director’s chair. If Rob loses, he has to dance down Hollywood Boulevard wearing a bikini and singing Beyonce’s “All The Single Ladies,” while carrying a sign saying “Twitter Me.” Peter gets to film it and post the video on Youtube.
• The deadline: Midnight Pacific time on Friday, June 19
