Weeds’ Hunter Parrish learned from Meryl Streep and Alex Baldwin on the set of It’s Complicated
December 11, 2009 by Jillian Cohan
Why yes, sharp-eyed Showtime fans – that is Weeds‘ own Hunter Parrish who you spied in a few frames of the TV trailer for It’s Complicated, the Meryl Streep/Alec Baldwin rom-com due in theaters later this month.
Parrish takes a break from his scruffy surfer dude persona on the Showtime series to play Luke, one of the couple’s grown children who is left to grapple with the messiness that results after Streep and Baldwin’s characters relapse on their divorce.
The film, directed by Nancy Meyers, has raised critical buzz already, but Parrish said for him the joy of It’s Complicated was in …read more
Weeds’ Hunter Parrish is one of People’s ‘Sexiest Men’
November 20, 2009 by Jillian Cohan
His cute mug keeps getting Weeds star Hunter Parrish noticed on the newsstand.
The 22-year-old actor was featured in a photo spread in People’s “Sexiest Man Alive” issue this week, earning him the distinction of being one of the “110 of the hottest guys on the planet.” (Nurse Jackie fans will be happy to note that Peter Facinelli also got a shout-out in the issue, as “hottest dad.”)
In Parrish’s photo feature, set on the Las Vegas strip, he shared his craziest memory from a night in Vegas and explained why he gets high on life when he’s there:

Showtime stars look hot on the Summer TCA red carpet
August 13, 2009 by Jillian Cohan
Oodles of stars from your favorite Showtime series gathered at the Huntington Library in Pasadena earlier this month to mingle with their network cousins from shows on CBS and The CW.
Check out how grown up Weeds‘ Allie Grant looks — and how well Dexter’s Julie Benz and United States of Tara’s Rosemarie DeWitt carry off their strapless yellow frocks, in bold marigold and palest lemon respectively (we can’t give the same high marks to Toni Collette’s odd-looking red taffetta and velvet number).
For those of you who like your eye candy with a tiny bit of facial hair, take a gander at …read more
Highlights of the Weeds panel at Comic-Con
July 26, 2009 by Jillian Cohan
The cast of Weeds didn’t have as long to prep for their Comic-Con appearance as some of the other shows, but Hunter Parrish, Justin Kirk and Jenji Kohan got generally good reviews from the crowd for their panel last night (Kirk especially, for his whip-smart humor). Here are the highlights, based on tweets out of the event.
The inspiration for the series came from a real pot-peddling mom Kohan knew growing up.
Kohan thinks pot should be legalized (not that we’re shocked by that revelation).
We only saw Nancy with a big belly in a few episodes this season because Mary-Louise Parker didn’t want …read more
GQ names Weeds star Hunter Parrish “big man off campus”
July 24, 2009 by Jillian Cohan
In the last five seasons of Weeds, Hunter Parrish has grown from a scrawny but cute teenager into a blond MILF-bedding machine with the untarnished male beauty that one usually associates with Greek statuary.
GQ recently caught up with the 21-year-old actor, whom the magazine features in a prep-school themed photoshoot called “Big Man Off Campus.”
In the Q&A, Hunter dishes on the movie he’s filming, what went into his decision to bare his backside in that hot scene with Julie Bowen last season, and why he passed on the Zac Ephron role in High School Musical. Here are a few …read more
Weeds Hunter Parrish is working on a music deal … maybe.
May 14, 2009 by Jillian Cohan
When he wasn’t busy on Broadway or on film sets, Weeds star Hunter Parrish has been trying to score a music deal with a major label. The fresh-faced actor, who turned 22 this month, hasn’t landed an official offer just yet, JustJared says, but he’s working hard on his music career in his free time.
That’s not to say that young Hunter has had a ton of time to spare. This year he appears as a bullying basketball player in the Zac Efron/Matthew Perry comedy 17 Again (for which he earned an appreciative write up in Teen Vogue) and headlined Spring Awakening on Broadway, playing the doomed …read more
