Jonathan Rhys Meyers and John Travolta on the red carpet at the From Paris With Love premiere

Jonathan Rhys Meyers and John Travolta seemed the best of pals when they walked the red carpet this week at the New York premiere of their new thriller, From Paris With Love.
According to OK! magazine, JRM said of his co-star:
“He’s an incredibly nice guy. Sometimes you’re shocked. I find the more successful –- the bigger stars that I work with, the nicer they are.”
Travolta was similarly enamored of the Tudors star.
““He’s the best,” he said of Jonny Boy. “He’s so talented and smart.”
The guys brought along their best gals, too.

Jonathan Rhys Meyers will age, somewhat, for The Tudors final season

Jonathan Rhys Meyers will age, somewhat, for The Tudors final season

In Season 3 of The Tudors, we saw star Jonathan Rhys Meyers seem to become a more portly King Henry VIII by donning heavier robes, furs and ruffs.
Still, Jonny Boy couldn’t entirely hide that svelte, animal attitude we remember from Seasons 1 and 2.
For the series’ final season, Rhys Meyers consented to “some aging,” Liz Smith notes in her Variety column, but we’re guessing he’ll still bring plenty of sexy to Season 4, which debuts April 11.
Till then, you can re-live all the action from previous episodes on Sunday nights. Showtime will start airing all three seasons, two back-to-back episodes …read more

While rumors swirled that Hammer dropped Jonny Boy after his rough patch with drinking (and the arrest that followed), Reena recently said she’s standing by her man — and has been for some time.
“We have been together through everything in the past five years,” she told The Telegraph.
In fact, Hammer, who at 23 years old runs the creative arm of Urban Retreat, the beauty company founded by her father, said she’s considered getting hitched to her …read more

Jonathan Rhys Meyers doesn’t want to eat like a king

In his role as Henry VIII for three seasons on The Tudors, Jonathan Rhys Meyers has learned a lot about life in 16th-century England. When Henry wasn’t busy bedding comely lasses, he was famous for imbibing rich food and drink.
“If you look at the Tudor diet, I’m surprised anyone lasted longer than six months,” JRM told the Edmonton Sun (Season 3 of The Tudors recently premiered on Canadian TV).
For instance, take the royal recipe for poultry:
“They would take a chicken, tear the top off, giblets on the top, and they would take giblets from the bottom, they would …read more

Could The Tudors’ Jonathan Rhys Meyers star in X-Men Origins: Magneto? MTV thinks so.

A cool idea for your Friday, Tudors fans: What if your favorite tyrant king became a superhero?
MTV’s film bloggers tell us Sir Ian McKellan won’t be part of X-Men Origins: Magneto, even though he’s played the character in every installment of the franchise thus far.
Magneto needs to be recast, and MTV’s “Secret Identity” suggests five hot actors who could do the complex villain justice. Tudors’ star Jonathan Rhys Meyers made the list, thanks to his calculating turn as a gold-digging tennis pro in Woody Allen’s Match Point.
Even more telling, MTV’s Josh Wigler writes, is Meyers performance as King Henry VIII:
“He’s …read more

Jonathan Rhys Meyers returns to The Tudors set after arrest

Jonny Boy is back — on the set of The Tudors, that is.
Jonathan Rhys Meyers showed up on set this week in Ireland, following his arrest at a Paris airport on June 25. The actor had allegedly assaulted the staff at an airport bar when they tried to cut off his supply of booze.
Back at work, Rhys Meyers took time to hang out with a few young extras while filming Season 4, in which he’ll portray an older, if not wiser, King Henry VIII.
JRM will return to France in September to answer charges of “charges of “willful …read more

Is it time for Jonathan Rhys Meyers to head back to rehab?

Well, Showtime Fans, could you have guessed his sobriety wouldn’t last? Tudors star Jonathan Rhys Meyers has been back in the tabloids of late.
This time he’s in the hot seat for allegedly assaulting a waiter at a bar in the Paris airport.
Jonny Boy had recently claimed he’d cleaned up after a third try at rehab, but it looks like moderation isn’t his style.
He also was arrested in 2007 after a drunk and disorderly episode at the Dublin airport (deja vu, anyone?).
In Paris, he reportedly punched a waiter in the face after the bar staff stopped serving him drinks while …read more
