Turkey Day is fast approaching. Should you be overcome by a can-do spirit for the holiday (cooking! cleaning! making room for the in-laws!), Weeds has the Andydote. (We know: slapping our own wrists for the terrible pun.)
Andy Botwin’s latest online course offered via The University of Andy is “The Perfect Thanksgiving.” In it, Andy (played by Justin Kirk) shares his slacker tips for making the most out of a day that generally requires you to eat, watch ball games and sleep. Weeds’ Justin Kirk is center stage in off-Broadway production

Justin Kirk took his character, Andy Botwin, to new heights last season on Weeds – the General Lee! The Mountain Man beard! The wooing of Nancy’s ob/gyn! — and we’ve missed him on Showtime ever since Season 5 wrapped.
Kirk’s now turning heads off-Broadway in the play The Understudy. He plays the title character, a struggling actor named Harry who subs for a pretty but talentless star played by Mark-Paul Gosselaar.

Highlights of the Weeds panel at Comic-Con

The cast of Weeds didn’t have as long to prep for their Comic-Con appearance as some of the other shows, but Hunter Parrish, Justin Kirk and Jenji Kohan got generally good reviews from the crowd for their panel last night (Kirk especially, for his whip-smart humor). Here are the highlights, based on tweets out of the event.
The inspiration for the series came from a real pot-peddling mom Kohan knew growing up.
