Weeds and Californication stars submit to awkward TV Guide interviews at the Golden Globes
January 15, 2009 by Jillian Cohan
That Lisa Rinna sure is wacky. She did TV Guide’s red carpet interviews at the Golden Globes, which sometimes felt more like awkard run-ins with the neighbors at Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf than a masterpiece of entertainment journalism.
For instance, when Weeds’ Kevin Nealon, Justin Kirk and Elizabeth Perkins arrived, Lisa was all over them with the news that the studio that produces Weeds, Lionsgate, had just bought TV Guide. It was like she wanted to know if there would be better snacks in the break room with the new owners:

2) He loves being a dad because he’s better at a lot of things than his son. “It’s been a long time since I could walk over to someone, pick them up, and impress them by my strength.”
3) He estimates that he’s spent about $300,000 on iTunes downloads.

May 15, 2008 by Jillian Cohan
Funnyman Kevin Nealon, who’s terrific as the bong-smoking accountant/former city councilman Doug Wilson on Weeds, brings his considerable comedic gifts to the memoir genre this week with the release of his book “Yes, You’re Pregnant, But What About Me?”
Nealon, who became a father at age 53, gently mocks his insecurities about age and fatherhood with observations like this: “Some of our family and friends thought the pictures in the last ultrasound looked more like me and I wasn’t sure how to take that, since it looked like the baby had a foot coming out of its head.”
The book hit …read more
