Sneak peek: Nurse Jackie Season 2
February 1, 2010 by Jillian Cohan
OK, so Peter Facinelli’s video diaries are charming and full of shenanigans and give you an idea of how close the cast of Nurse Jackie is. But this new trailer for Season 2 is the best! It reminds us all why we fell in love with the show to begin with (Doe-eyed Zoey! Jaded Jackie! Madcap Coop!) and gives us an idea of what to expect when the new season drops in March (More Mrs. Akalitis, Thor as confidante, Jackie turns to cannabis and sex on the kitchen floor!).
Please forgive us the exclamation points and just watch this clip. …read more

For all their hush hush behavior leading up to tonight’s Season 4 finale of Dexter, the folks at Showtime sure don’t mind sharing one spoiler.

Weeds’ Hunter Parrish learned from Meryl Streep and Alex Baldwin on the set of It’s Complicated
December 11, 2009 by Jillian Cohan
Why yes, sharp-eyed Showtime fans – that is Weeds‘ own Hunter Parrish who you spied in a few frames of the TV trailer for It’s Complicated, the Meryl Streep/Alec Baldwin rom-com due in theaters later this month.
Parrish takes a break from his scruffy surfer dude persona on the Showtime series to play Luke, one of the couple’s grown children who is left to grapple with the messiness that results after Streep and Baldwin’s characters relapse on their divorce.
The film, directed by Nancy Meyers, has raised critical buzz already, but Parrish said for him the joy of It’s Complicated was in …read more
Don’t forget Bon Jovi’s documentary premiere tomorrow on Showtime
October 23, 2009 by Jillian Cohan
You guys, whether you’re a Bon Jovi fan or not you should set your DVRs for Saturday, Oct. 24 at 9 p.m. Eastern, because the boys from New Jersey are gonna knock your socks off.
I’m sometimes skeptical of concert films because they’re pretty much 90-minute commercials for an album or some other merch. But I’ve watched some of the exclusive Web video from When We Were Beautiful and it promises to be a very compelling story, driven by the skillful interviews of director Phil Griffin.
Seriously, just listen to Jon Bon Jovi describing how “psychotic” it is to go from a …read more

New Dexter video game is cutting-edge
August 2, 2009 by Jillian Cohan
Fans of Dexter who were at Comic-Con last month got a first-hand look at the new videogame based on the Showtime series (lucky ducks!). For the rest of us, Showtime has released a trailer of the game, which is designed for iPhone and iPod Touch.
Michael C. Hall provides the voiceovers for the game, which lets you review case files, choose a target and go on the hunt for your kill as Dexter Morgan. The graphics aren’t as sophisticated as they could be if it were designed for gaming consoles such as the Playstation 3 or Xbox 360, but it’s cutting …read more
